Girls Varsity Softball · Mike Hunter Named Head Softball Coach

The CCCS Varsity Softball team has a new leader. Coach Mike Hunter has been named the Head Varsity Softball Coach, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what the Lord has in store for the Grizzlies this season. Coach Hunter brings a lot of experience to the Grizzlies, as he has coached at Division 1 & 2 schools like Newport Harbor and Long Beach Wilson, as well as some lower division public schools such as Estancia High School.

Coach Hunter loves the game of Softball and loves the Lord, as well. He is looking forward to training our ladies up in the Lord, while using Softball as a tool to teach them about life. Last year, Coach Hunter was on our staff as an assistant coach. The Grizzlies were hopeful to claim yet another San Joaquin League Championship, but never had the opportunity. Unfortunately, the season was cut short and brought to an abrupt end by the worldwide pandemic. We are praying that the girls have the full opportunity to use the gifts, talents and abilities that the Lord has given them during the coming 2021 season.

Coaching alongside Coach Hunter will be our former Head Coach Sarah Alvarez and pitching coach Lily Marquez. CCCS is blessed to have an awesome group of coaches leading our softball program this year.
